I'm surrounded
I'm not sure if it's because it's finally SPRING in Portland Oregon or if Chartreuse is the new black or what, but I'm seeing it everywhere! On all of the trees that are budding out, in JCrew's new spring line and all over the design blogs! I'm loving these fun examples of pairing chartreuse with turquoise, magenta and oranges.

Stumbled across this freshness yesterday! What's your favorite letter? For me, it's a dead heat between L's perfection and G's flourishes...

coming to a theater near you...
Now, I'm going to explain something, I am a Trekie. Yep, it's embarrassing, but SO true. I got CHILLS in the movie theater when the first trailers started trickling out for the new Star Trek movie. It's out May 7th - can not wait. Check out the Star Trek movie website, fabulous typography, high end graphics and navigation...live long and prosper.

kat heyes illustration
Kat Heyes has a beautiful collection of illustrations and layouts on her website. Lately I have been noticing fashion layouts more and more, their strong hierarchy and playfulness is really refreshing.

environmental design
Photos from a fashion show. I love the larger than life environmental design and the use of white on white is really surreal! I wonder if the Anthropologie window designers have taken a self-esteem hit...

information design tuesday
I really appreciate good information design. That's why for this week's instalment of "INFORMATION DESIGN TUESDAY" I've picked these lovely arched pieces. It's beautiful and thoughtful, and above all else, informative!
