raddest sink ever.
I wish I could report who makes these, but I can't. I do remember that you can send it a topographic map of your favorite piece of the planet and they can make it into a custom sink just for you! Lovely!
a picture's worth a thousand words
I'm a big fan of photography. I love finding new photographers and I love clicking through their portfolios. It's inspiring for me to see their creativity and talent. Here are a few of my favorites:
First and foremost: The hugely talented Marco Guerra. Wow is all I have to say.
Next is a long time favorite: Paper Pony. Her compositions and light balances are gorgeous, and she updates her Flickr regularly, which I so appreciate.
Twin Lens is a newly discovered favorite. This duo of documentary style wedding photographers makes more a more real, intimate and rich collection of celebrations.

didn't want to love her
I didn't want to love Nubby Twiglet. What kind of a name is Nubby? What girl would call herself that? The answer is a girl who knows who she is and what she's talking about. She got me with her fabulous, thoughtful and edgy design blog, and kept me coming back with her unabashed love for fashion. Check her out here, at NubbyTwiglet.com.

Niketown Eugene
On Sunday we went down to the Prefontaine Classic at Hayward Field in Eugene. It was an awesome meet but there wasn't really a booth to buy a commemorative meet tshirt at so we headed over to the Eugene Niketown. I really liked the sketchy/hand drawn plywood treatments that are displayed both through the front windows and along the entry interior wall. The plywood has a dual purpose; to get people interested in the store and to shade the video wall opposite the main entrance's adjoining glass windows. I love the quote from Bowerman about how the ultimate track spike would be if the athlete would just let him drive a nail through their foot, now that's devotion to the sport!
